Rwamagana District | May 25, 2025 —
Bike for future LWD Cycling Team continues to raise the flag high for girls in sport, as they dominated Episode 5 of the Youth Racing Cup held in Rwamagana District with passion, power, and purpose.

Stage winners Kaliza and Emelyne delivered outstanding performances, finishing strong and showing what focused young girls can achieve when given the opportunity. But beyond individual victory, it was the full team effort that stood out each girl racing with heart and proving that Bike for future LWD Cycling Team girls are truly unstoppable.


The girls were not alone in this journey. Their success was witnessed and celebrated by a representative of the LWD Board, who came to Rwamagana to show personal support and appreciation for the team’s continued achievements.



Also joining the day were representatives from Plan International, whose partnership through the Bike for Future Project played a big role in building this generation of confident, resilient female cyclists. Their presence reaffirmed the importance of long-term investment in youth empowerment, especially for girls.


This race was not just about speed, it was about visibility, courage, and the rising power of young women in sports.
From every pedal stroke to every cheer, Bike for Future LWD Cycling Team reminded everyone that the road ahead is wide open—and they’re leading the way.
